Maintenance Supervisor manages and coordinates the day to day maintenance and repair of equipment under the responsibility of the General Services Department. They will oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the camp facilities maintenance technicians and identified third party service contractors.

It is the responsibility of the Maintenance Supervisor to assess hazards, determine risks, conduct regular inspections, and maintain a safety program.

The Maintenance Supervisor shall have relevant experience in a maintenance and construction environment as well as appropriate health and safety knowledge and training.

Responsibilities include ordering equipment that is necessary for the tasks at hand, scheduling delivery of the equipment, and reviewing the equipment budget to ensure that there are no cost overruns. You should also be able to train and mentor field staff.

To be successful as a Maintenance Supervisor, they should manage the work schedules of the field staff, adjusting them as needed, tracks service requests and ensures requests are complete within established timelines and quality standards. Schedules and ensures competition of preventative maintenance.

The responsibilities of a field supervisor may include but not limited to:

• Supervising workers, subcontractors and work activities.
• Preparing and presenting site inductions, safety briefings and toolbox talks.
• Assessing and managing safety hazards.
• Ensuring appropriate site rules and welfare facilities are in place.
• Carrying out regular inspections.
• Helping project managers to plan the work program.
• Helping coordinate deliveries of materials, plant and equipment.
• Completing records for site reports.
• Attending site management meetings.
• Carrying out regular inspections to ensure compliance with relevant legal requirements, processes and procedures.
• Raising safety concerns at the appropriate level.
• Resolving problems and implementing improvements.
• Organizing and overseeing external inspections, such as with a health and safety inspector.
• Providing emergency first aid if required.
• Other responsibilities assigned by the line manager

Requirements

• Over 10 years’ experience, about 5 years in general maintenance department of large oil fields .
• Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes
• Experience working with issues in Operations, Greenfield and Brownfield environments.
• Experience working with all Microsoft applications.
