Material Coordinator - Iraq National

Job description / Role

Responsibilities

- Coordinating the purchase of equipment and materials relating to transmission and distribution industries between the various projects and their teams.

- Managing, directing and documenting shipping and receiving of all materials to various job sites, as well as coordinating priority shipments and backhauls with site contractors and warehouse.

- Working with Amec Foster Wheeler Construction Coordinator and site contractor on getting Material Receiving Reports completed on time and resolving shortages and overages.

- Creating, updating, maintaining and issuing Procurement Plans to contractors and project managers.

- Notifying the project team and contractor on material status and advising on impact to the project schedule.

- Working in and maintaining SharePoint project files and records.

- Electronic and hard copy file management.

Qualifications

- A minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement and materials control and coordination roles, preferably in a construction, heavy industry or inventory management environment. Transmission and distribution experience and knowledge of electrical materials is an asset.

- Advanced level of MS Word and Excel, including a good comfort level of working within a supply chain management software package.

- SharePoint experience is an advantage.

- Solid organization and communication skills and the demonstrated ability to lead and work in a team environment.

- Ability to multi-task and pick up on details.
