Media Planning Director

He/she must be a fluent Arabic Speaker / this position is based in Baghdad - Iraq.

Our global agency client is looking to hire a Planning Director who will oversee the Planning team in the development of integrated media plans.

What we'd like you to do:
• Receive, interpret briefs and oversee generation media plans that excite the client and deliver against their objectives
• Work with Client Services, Strategy and Analytics to ensure media strategy ladders up to business objectives
• Continually strive for improvement and innovation by sourcing and developing new partnerships with media partners globally,
and spearheading stream two process
• Manage and make recommendations for optimization of campaigns at all levels; across channels, partners, placements,
products and creative concepts to deliver optimal performance
• Produce insightful analysis and engaging campaign reviews for clients, demonstrating the effectiveness of our planning,
optimisation and management of media
• Partner with Client Service team to strengthen existing client relationships throughout the planning process
• Keep current on new market technologies and innovative solutions for clients
• Review all work to ensure high-quality standard
• Partner with Resource Management and Line Manager to make recommendations on appropriate staffing
• Oversee and manage a Planning team for a specific vertical.
• Foster a good working relationship across all internal teams to facilitate flawless execution of plans

Requirements

The ideal candidate should (preferably) have planning experience with telecom or mobile handsets and will offer resourceful problem-solving internally and externally to support the development of strong client relationships.

The planning team is responsible for the media planning process and for transforming our clients' business objectives and product strategy into scientifically-rooted and innovative media plans.
