Job description / Role
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Primary School Teacher to register with our agency to join a dynamic team in Baghdad, Iraq. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young learners. This role involves developing engaging lesson plans, implementing innovative teaching strategies, and assessing student progress to ensure academic success. The successful applicant will collaborate with fellow educators, parents, and the community to support the holistic development of each child and inspire a lifelong love of learning.
Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners in a primary school setting.
- Implement a variety of teaching methods and strategies to promote student engagement and understanding.
- Assess and evaluate student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and support to enhance learning outcomes.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters respect among peers.
- Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with educational standards and promotes critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and ways to support learning at home.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to create a cohesive educational experience and participate in professional development opportunities.
- Organize and participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and community outreach programs to enrich the school experience.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, academic performance, and other essential documentation.
- Stay updated with the latest educational trends and methodologies to continuously improve teaching practices.
Requirements:
- Either a Bachelor's degree in Education or a PGCE.
- Proven minimum 3 years UK experience as a primary school teacher working with British Curriculum.
- Strong understanding of child development and pedagogical theories applicable to primary education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Creative and innovative approach to teaching with the ability to inspire and motivate young learners.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Cultural sensitivity and adaptability to work within the local context of Iraq.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
- Willingness to engage in continuous professional development and stay current with educational best practices.
Salary:
USD
1,500 to 3,000
per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
