QA QC Engineer

Job description / Role

The QA/QC Engineer reviews contractors’ QA/QC plans at the onset of supervision projects and establishes and ensures the implementation of QA / QC procedures throughout supervision projects duration. He conducts periodic quality inspections on contractors and subcontractors and works closely with Project Managers and contractors on addressing identified quality issues.

Responsibilities
• Review the contractor’s QA/QC Plan and agree on any revisions with the contractor prior to commencement of the works
• Conduct periodic quality assurance / quality control inspections on the contractors and subcontractors on site and check compliance to the client’s and K&A’ quality policies, procedures and standards
• Identify quality non-conformance issues, summarize findings in periodic quality audit reports and recommend corrective action plans and reports for addressing identified quality non-conformances on site in coordination with the Project Manager
• Support the supervision team during the hand-over and defects liability period, as needed
• Coordinate with the Regional Quality teams for quality audits on supervision sites, as needed, and implement quality audit action plans, as needed
• Support the Project Manager in developing periodic project progress reports, as needed

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
• Chartered Professional Engineering certification or equivalent is preferred
• 10+ years of experience in a QA/QC function in a contracting company or a construction supervision function
• Experience with QA / QC activities and inspections on contractors on supervision sites
• Understanding of international engineering standards and codes
• Knowledge of construction supervision services
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to details
• Proficiency in spoken and written English and Arabic
