Job description / Role
Main Accountabilities:
Conducts full life cycle recruitment in sourcing the best talent for AUIB, as well as maintaining effective programs for retention, promotion, and succession planning.
Responsibilities:
• Provides professional expertise and support in the design, development and implementation of the talent review process that is required to achieve business goals and results in the creation of an internal bench of top talent.
• Collects, analyzes, and maintains data gathered to inform targeted leadership development (e.g., succession planning).
• Serves as a business partner with hiring managers to develop effective sourcing and recruitment strategies that result in client satisfaction.
• Develops effective relationships within the organization and the hiring community to have influence and impact the recruiting process and hiring.
• Develops, initiates, and maintains effective programs for workforce retention, promotion, and succession planning.
• Manages the maintenance and execution of the performance management system, including current job descriptions, standards of performance and performance evaluation instruments.
• Creates and maintains an environment of equal employment opportunity, diversity, and competitive advantage in support of the company's diversity and inclusion strategic plan
• Ensures that organization-wide talent management and PM initiatives are focused and aligned on improving operational and program efficiencies and effectiveness.
• Manages full life cycle recruitment (recruitment needs, post, source, prescreen, schedule, background, references, offer, onboarding, etc.). Completes hiring process within defined metrics to minimize overall time-to-start.
• Develops appropriate marketing strategies, define roles and responsibilities of hiring team, and develops service-level agreements to ensure an effective and efficient recruitment lifecycle while minimizing cost-per-hire.
• Develops and implements creative and innovative sourcing strategies and techniques to build a pipeline of qualified candidates.
• Develops and maintains organizational communications to ensure employees have knowledge of training and development events and resources.
• Conducts follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results.
• Modifies programs as needed.
Requirements
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in HR or Business Administration, or any relevant field
• Experience: 10 years of broad HR experience including designing and implementing employee training programs, Talent Management, and Performance Management
Technical knowledge:
• Talent Management
• Recruitment in multiple discipline areas and levels, including leadership positions
• Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
• Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
• Ability to design and implement effective training and development.

About the Company
AUIB is an American-style, nonprofit university located next to the Baghdad International Airport in Baghdad. This large-scale, multi-million dollar project is funded by Iraqi and U.S. donors, both public and private. The university opens for students on Jan. 17, 2021, with the College of Arts & Sciences, College of International Studies, and the College of Business. Eventually, there will be 10 colleges at the university, including a College of Medicine.
