Port Planner / Designer - Italian or Greek Language Skills

Job description / Role

Required to join an international engineering consultancy. The successful candidate will work on the planning and design of port, dry port and free trade area facilities, predominantly in the Middle East and Africa.

Duties will entail contributing to the preparation of proposals or working on assignments at any stage of a port project, from concept development, reviewing current practices within the project country, assessing likely demand, through pre-feasibility studies to preliminary and final design and implementation on site. There is opportunity to be based in one of the Middle Eastern offices or working remotely from home country. There will be some travel to site/offices.

Requirements

Applicants should meet the following criteria
• A degree in Civil Engineering
• A proven track record in the planning and design of ports
• Knowledge of other port disciplines such as logistics, engineering design and transport connections
• Fluent in English and either Greek or Italian
