EPC Proposal Manager (Oil & Gas, Power)

Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

* Management of the relevant Proposals discipline, including preparation and issue of all company response to client tenders, expressions of interest and pre-qualification requests.
* Review of Invitation to Tender (ITT) documents analyzing and accurately assessing all ITT requirements.
* Identifying initial project risks on all relevant tenders prior to proceeding bid activities.
* Establishing and implementing a strategy, both internally and with the client, where required, for all relevant major tenders including discussing and agreeing strategies with major vendors / suppliers beneficial to the tender process and exploring alternative solutions, all to enhance Shamara Group's opportunities for securing work.
* Prioritization of estimating and proposals workload within the relevant discipline.
* Setting appropriate on cost mark-ups to be applied to company estimates, prior to review by the Group Proposals Manager.
* Close liaison with the BD Department to maximize existing business relationships and to pursue and nurture new business opportunities.
* Documenting and filing, in an organized manner, of all relevant tender correspondence and data.
* Preparing reports for Shamara Management as and when required.
* Adhering to all compliance and auditing requirements for the conduct of ethical and transparent operations including the compliance to all Shamara policies, guidelines and procedures.
* Complying with Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures and compliance with all audits and inspections.
* Fulfil the duties of a Senior Proposals Engineer as and when required.

Requirements

* Minimum BSc in Engineering (preferably Mechanical) with strong academics.
* Must have 10+ years of EPC experience with a minimum of 5 years of solid experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
* Experience with an international EPC contractor preferred.
* Must have Middle East experience (familiarity with the Iraq market a plus).
* Excellent writing and communications skills and demonstrated project management experience.
