Job Description & Summary

A career in our Analytics Technology practice, within Data and Analytics Technology services, will provide you with the opportunity to help organisations uncover enterprise insights and drive business results using smarter data analytics. We focus on a collection of organisational technology capabilities, including business intelligence, data management, and data assurance that help our clients drive innovation, growth, and change within their organisations in order to keep up with the changing nature of customers and technology. You’ll make impactful decisions by mixing mind and machine to leverage data, understand and navigate risk, and help our clients gain a competitive edge.

Our team helps clients navigate various analytics applications to get the most value out of their technology investment and foster confidence in their business intelligence. As part of our team, you’ll help our clients implement enterprise content and data management applications that improve operational effectiveness and provide impactful data analytics and insights.

We are looking for someone that has QA testing experience on data analytic projects. The QA specialist will participate in the incremental development of the Data Warehouse, specifically the extracting of data from source systems and the loading to the warehouse.

He/She participates in the project life cycle, from analysis to production implementation, with emphasis on data analysis, system testing, and auditable documentation of results. Experience in data warehousing and decision support testing is a must, coupled with data setup work and relational databases.

The candidate should have a strong understanding of application development lifecycles and have a good understanding of data warehouse concepts and techniques.

Requirements

Requirements:
- 3-5+ years of systems analysis experience (at least 3 years in the testing field)
- 2+ years of data warehousing experience
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent

Education/work experience:
- Experience with all types of testing including systems, data quality, and acceptance.
- Experience in creating test plans, cases, and scripts without the use of testing case tools.
- Experience in writing SQL and executing test scripts.
- Experience in business analysis techniques.
- Communicates effectively (written and verbal) with team and customers
- Demonstrated problem analysis and problem solving skills in a technical environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
- Strong skills in SQL, and scripting required.
- Ability to navigate and work in both UNIX and Windows environments.
- Use of data profiling methods to analyze data sources
- Experience with Microsoft Visualization tools
- Experience with Microsoft BI toolkit
- Proactive and self-motivated
- Curious and willing to learn new technologies
- Strong independent worker and team contributor

Education and Training:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent/relevant advanced degree preferred
- Microsoft BI Certification(s)
