Employment: Full Time

Education Development Trust is seeking a Learning and Recovery Specialist for a technical assistance programme focussed on improving inclusive and gender sensitive education and combating learning loss at system level. Working directly with the donor and in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, you will provide strategic advice and analysis to support a long-term learning recovery strategy in Joran. This will involve bringing together all the different strands of the existing donor support to the education system both during and post Covid-19 and using the National Diagnostic Assessment findings from all children in Jordan as a baseline of determining a clear strategy of learning recovery.

Requirements

You will have:

• Minimum of a Master's in Education or associated field (PHD is preferable)
• Excellent communication skills in Arabic and English
• Extensive expertise in Education in emergencies, accelerated learning, learning recovery or remedial education across the MENA region
• Strong education policy and reform skills
• Experience of working in collaboration with donors and civil society organisations (CSO)
• A research, monitoring and evaluation background
