Job description / Role
As a QA Engineer you'd make a difference by ensuring the quality of every software release we deliver, including the web platform, Android or iPhone app. You will work closely with the entire team in each sprint cycle from planning through to signing off at release.
• Writing and maintaining test scripts, ensuring they are kept up to date as we develop new features and functionality
• Supporting the developers by suggesting ways that the systems can be written to make them easier to test
• Looking into the source code of the applications to see if bugs are being introduced by poor coding standards and recommend remediation
• Provide error handling logic to developers
• Stands up for quality in the face of deadlines: you will be the one giving green flag for pushing the 'Go Live' button
Requirements
• 4+ years of professional experience as QA Engineer
• Experience in automation is essential
• Experience in API testing, knowledge of REST principles, HTTP, XML & JSON
• Experience of testing mobile applications
• An understanding of industry standard engineering tools and techniques (e.g. unit testing, version control, documentation standards)
