DESCRIPTION

Amazon's Middle East Product Team, located across Seattle, Dubai, and Jordan is looking for an entrepreneurial, innovative Senior Product Manager who thrives in dealing with ambiguity and able to independently drive efforts to build a world-class products.

It is a pivotal role that will contribute to the evolution and success of Amazon's most recent e-commerce acquisition 'Souq.com', and to help shape experiences for millions of current and new customers in the Middle East. As a Senior Product Manager, you'll own a segment of our business and be measured on the growth and quality metrics for this segment. You will also be responsible of defining detailed product and business requirements and ensure clear communication and coordination of requirements to the business, design and development teams. Understand the strategic vision, establish product goals and develop roadmap. Drive product development efforts, including research, requirements definition, metrics analysis, technical specifications, development launch efforts and drive the overall success of the product. In addition, Work cross-functionally to manage bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make trade-offs, balance the business needs versus technical constraints and maximize business benefit while building great customer experiences. This position involves regular communication with Amazon senior management as well as other large audiences on status, risks and change control.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 6+ years of product management, analytical or consulting experience, ideally in the e-commerce or technology space.
- Bachelor's degree in computer information systems, business administration or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience defining market and product requirements, working with engineering organizations to rapidly deliver high-impact capabilities and plan go-to-market.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to justify requirements, features and drive management of product.
- Strong conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills. Able to deal with ambiguity and excited with opportunities to solve very complex problems.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create compelling positioning/messaging strategy and present complex information clearly and concisely.
- High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously with minimal supervision.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in delivery of large products or services.
- Collaborative working style. Must work well in a team environment.

Requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- MBA or Master's degree in computer information systems, business administration or equivalent professional experience.
-Industry recognized subject matter expert.
- History of developing business strategy in conjunction with senior leadership.
- Deep experience authoring documents relating to product life cycle including product roadmap, business requirements and functional specifications.
- Experience and working with global teams and diverse partners.
- Demonstrated ability to dive deep in understanding the product, our business, and the competitive landscape.
- Familiarity with complex systems and design flows.
- Familiarity with Software Engineering processes, with detailed understanding of Software Development Life Cycle principles.
- Able to travel up to 20% of the time.
