With offices across 5 regions globally, we are excited to be recruiting for an experienced Service Specialist (mechanical focus) from a strong utilities / OEM background.

The Service Specialist will support the company’s profitable growth at global level by building and overseeing the Training Center for YDE’s O&M Team in Jordan and provide mechanical support and troubleshooting Globally. The role consists of leading and executing the mechanical activities for PV plants globally, supporting remote countries online and training YDE’s O&M team members in mechanical aspects, as well as finding innovate solutions to enhance O&M quality. In addition, he will support and implement HSE best practices, decrease the service activities cost and time, to improve the efficiency of the operating assets while maintaining the quality.

The Service Specialist will have the following main functions:

- Oversee the creation of the O&M Training Center
- Train the team on Mechanical Activities for electrical system’s equipment
- Lead & execute the needed activities on company level and support online
- Innovate and find new solutions to enhance PV performance
- Comply with company core values.

This role is based in Jordan (Sites) and will report to the Center of Excellence Manager based in Amman, Jordan.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s/ Diploma Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 8 - 10 years of experience in Utilities/OEM.
- Experience in Low/Medium/High voltage system, indoor/outdoor.
- Experience in power and distribution of transformers (oil treatment, repair at site, testing).
- Driver's license and vehicle for work
- Experience of working in a multinational, multi-segment environment with matrix reporting.
- Awareness of cultural differences and varying legal/regulatory environments.
- Experience with HSE Regulations.
- Leadership, teamwork and creative problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to conduct negotiations with customers, vendors, supplies, governmental entities and utilities.
- Excellent command of English. Arabic a strong benefit.
