At Pinewood School, we have a rewarding opportunity for enthusiastic, dedicated, and resilient teaching assistants to join our vibrant, caring team. You’ll work closely with pupils who have a range of special educational needs including learning difficulties, autism, speech, language & communication, and behavioural needs. You will support them under the guidance of our experienced and nurturing teaching staff.

Knowledge & experience
- A good standard of education particularly in English and Mathematics
- Knowledge of the legal and organisational requirements for maintaining the health, safety and security of yourself and others in the learning environment
- Knowledge of SEN Code of Practice (desirable but not essential as full training will be given)
- Experience of supporting children in a classroom environment
- Experience of using information technology to support pupils in the classroom

Hours
34 hours 25 minutes per week, term time plus inset days
8.30am to 4pm Monday to Wednesday, 8.30am to 3.30pm Thursday and Friday (hours are mandatory - part time days may be an option please discuss at interview)
