Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our Client, a VIP client in Jordan are searching for a VIP Hospitality Manager. This position will be based in Amman, Jordan.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Team management
- Plan Household manpower requirements on annual basis.
- Ensure all policies and procedures implemented. Apply disciplinary procedures- when required.
- Organise House Keeping team schedules and staff rotation.
- Assign duties to teams as per manual.
- Coordinate and schedule staff leave throughout the year.
- Organise team mobilization between various locations during occupancy.
- Maintain a healthy environment to build effective team relations and retain good employees.
- Direct supervision of in-house laundry and dry cleaning abiding by operating standards.
- Ensure and document the health and safety procedures for all staff.
- Ensure all staff are properly trained and re-skilled as per the operation requirement.
- Ensure that Household Supervisor is conducting her/his duties as per operation needs.

Operation
- Development and update of the Household Manuals and document related policies and procedures.
- Budgeting and budgets revisions on semiannual basis.
- Ensure high standards are communicated and met at all times.
- Apply knowledge of housekeeping techniques. Make recommendations to the Director regarding up keeping of the households.
- Conduct regular audits (daily, weekly), spot checks and amendments as per household operation manual.
- Provide breakage report of damaged goods or furniture to the Director.
- Investigate complaints-if any- in regards to housekeeping service and take corrective action.
- Responsible for table and floral arrangements, and entertainment preparation on daily basis.
- Overall responsibility of the household including the Kitchen & fridge cleanness.
- Report malfunctions to the maintenance team; follow through to make sure it is fixed. Act on emergency breakdown immediately, ensuring instant repair.
- Cost control and initiating cost reduction plans.

Reporting & communication
- Submit monthly and annual reports to Director – as per schedule.
- Communicate staff rosters and attendance report to HR department.
- Communicate with all in-house teams: Kitchen, Butler, Housekeeping and Laundry as necessary and attend the daily briefing.
- Communicate with all other departments as necessary.
- Ensure high standards are communicated and met at all times.

Events
- Organize for events; liaise with different teams as needed.
- Human Resources & administration
- Perform regular assessment of staff; planning, development and best utilization of their skills.
- Communicate staff rosters and attendance report with HR department.
- Complete staff training needs assessment and conduct an on job training- as needed.
- Complete annual training plan and send to HR department on annual basis.
- Along with HR manager, assist in staff selection and Recruitment
- Complete staff performance evaluations.
- Consult with HR department on staff related matters.
- Create and update Household manual and documenting related policies and procedures.

Requirements

- 10 years’ experience in Hotel/ Hospitality
- 5 years Hotel Management experience
- Bachelor’s Degree holder
- Experience dealing with VIP Clients
- Engaging personality
- Should respect confidentiality due to sensitive nature of role
