Designated Person Ashore

Job description / Role

My client is a leading international contractor who specialiase in marine and oil and gas construction projects. They are currently looking to recruit a designated person ashore to be based onshore in Kazakhstan.

The role will be to act as the linchpin between the vessels and the Company regarding ISM and to closely monitor and train vessel crews on ISM related.matters. Implementation of the safety and environmental protection policy in the office and on-board vessels. To carry out internal audits, both ashore and on board all vessels. Visits/ inspections on board to monitor activities relating to effective implementation of SMS. Reporting and analysis of non-conformities, accidents and hazardous occurrences; and Ensuring that adequate resources and shore-based support is provided.

Salary:
USD 1,000 to 4,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

Candidates should preferably have a degree or diplomas in a related subject and should have qualifications and seagoing experience as a certified ship officer pursuant to the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW), 1978 and not less than three years practical senior level experience in ship management operations.
