Senior Manager, Sales - East Africa

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
- Develop quality square-meter retail space for both adidas & Reebok brands across East Africa while establishing trustful and stable relationships with all key sales channel partners in order to grow our leading position in the market. Recommend and implement the short, medium and long term commercial strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
- Create superior partnerships with all clients, meet financial goals and ensure appropriate seasonal product flow to optimize opportunities and continuous development of accounts.
- Strategic Development plans: ?Work with the product team to develop programs and product to achieve revenue targets and strong brand positioning;
- Work with sales services team to develop quality SQM (franchise and SIS) across Eastern Africa, including visual merchandising plans;
- Develop a short, mid and long term strategy with a full retail mapping overview.
- Elaborate and provide accurate sales forecast to the business within the frame of the business forecasting processes.
- Maintain strong relation with the customers to develop the business to a higher level of growth achieving yearly targets and deliverables.
- Organize and prepare sell-in customer meetings using the sell-in checklist, by pre-ordering, and re–ordering within the seasonal focus products as based on the customer segmentations while offering sell-out support.
- Achieve highest order conversion per season and insure on-time retail introduction.
- Clearly communicate Trade Terms to customers and ensure compliance with said terms, as per the adidas group policy.
- Conduct regular, on-site customer visits utilizing the store visit checklist guidelines for VM, RRP, and re-orders with respect to the replenishment of products and POS-materials, driving higher results by maintaining the company image through continuous store improvement.
- Integrate the connectivity of data to drive a better consumer understanding, as well as ensure full visibility on sell-through.
- Prepare reports, analysis, and calculations as required by customer and the company.
- Develop and maintain best-in-industry relationship with customers.

Requirements

- Minimum 5 years of commercial experience within large sales organization (FMCG).
- Passion and drive to develop the current business.
- Very strong negotiation skills.
- Structured approach to work assignments.
- Self-motivated and Proactive.

- Ability to work independently.
- High degree of commercial and business acumen knowledge.
- Negotiation, composure and representation abilities.
- Strong Strategic as well as operational skills.
- High personal impact and high communication skills.
