Bakery Commis

Job description / Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Bakery Commis to join our hospitality team in Kuwait. The ideal candidate will assist in the daily preparation and baking of a variety of bread, pastries, and other baked goods, ensuring the highest quality and presentation standards are met to delight our customers.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing ingredients and dough for various baked goods following established recipes.
- Operate baking equipment and ovens while maintaining strict adherence to safety and hygiene standards.
- Monitor baking processes to ensure products are baked to perfection and meet quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery workstation and storage areas.
- Support senior bakers in inventory management and stock rotation to reduce waste.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and service teams to ensure timely delivery of baked goods.
- Continuously improve baking skills by learning new techniques and recipes as directed.

- Previous experience as a bakery commis or in a similar bakery role is preferred.
- Passion for baking and a keen eye for detail with an emphasis on quality and presentation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
- Basic knowledge of bakery ingredients and equipment.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and handle baking materials.

Salary:
KWD 150 to 175 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
