Job description / Role
FDC Interiors are currently looking for a Design Manager to join our production team based in Kuwait. With offices and production facility within the Kuwait Freezone, this is a great opportunity for an experienced interior designer to join a growing production and fit-out team.
The role will require working with design teams based in Dubai and Jakarta to:
• Lead the design process to produce accurate information in line with the agreed specification and cost plan / estimate.
• Proactively manage the appointment of consultants and ensure that they perform in line with their deed and agreed scope of services.
• Produce a design program with the consultants to meet the agreed whole life program dates.
• Provide cost effective and feasible technical solutions following capability of production facilities.
• Chair design team meetings and issue actions to all involved.
• Produce designs that meet all necessary statutory and regulatory approvals and record on appropriate tracking logs.
• Maximize all value engineering opportunities.
• Review tender documentation and provide technical support to the bid process.
• Manage multiple projects or projects of a complex nature or high value.
• Engage with the project team.
Requirements
• Degree qualified in either Architecture or Interior Design
• Minimum 8 years of experience within interior design and production
• Excellent communication, writing, editing and project management skills.
• IT competence in packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Cad and Power Point.
• Previous leadership of design teams
• Report writing
