Established in 1975, EPG offers a British curriculum delivering high-quality, bilingual education to over 8,500 students across Kuwait. EPG offers a monthly basic salary (tax free) for 5 days a week (8 hours per day). Together with furnished accommodation, company transportation, communication allowance, private medical insurance, annual return ticket to home country and paid summer holidays. As per Kuwait labor law we also offer sick leave of 15 days annually, Kuwaiti public holidays and indemnity.
At EPG we believe teachers are integral to preparing students for the world. Weu2019re looking for an experienced English teacher to plan, organise and implement an approved curriculum in a learning environment that encourages students to develop their full academic potential.
Position: Early years teacher
As an early years teacher, you will play a vital role in laying the foundation for our students' future success.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities
- Create a positive and engaging learning environment for young children
- Foster children's social, emotional, cognitive and physical development
- Assess and monitor students' progress and provide constructive feedback to parents
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive educational program
- Maintain open communication with parents or guardians about their child's progress
Experience, qualifications and skills
- Bachelors in early childhood education or relevant qualification
- Experience teaching early years (2-5 years) in the UK or overseas in a British or IB curriculum school
- Understanding of appropriate early years pedagogy and practices
- Fluency in the English language
- Computer skills in using Microsoft Office and other programs that serve pre-school purposes
- A love of children and a passion for teaching
- Creativity, flexibility and enthusiasm
- Most importantly, a successful candidate will fully subscribe to the maxim that u201call complex decision-making be based on what constitutes best practice for the childu201d.
