Employment: Full Time

The Company:

Our client has signed a 5-year O&M contract to operate a new cement plant in Kuwait, incorporating a full organization to implement a complete maintenance strategy and technical back-up, as well as delivery of spare parts and consumables. The agreement covers a new 150 tph grinding station in Kuwait. The grinding station has been also delivered by our client and consists of a UMS ball mill, a Ventomatic packing plant and material handling equipment. They are currently looking to Electrical Technician Cement Mill Packing in Kuwait.

Duties&Responsibilities:

Safety
• Follow safety standards & maintained within all areas of maintenance operations
• Follow the permit to work system and any other safety system are strictly adhered to
• Assess risks, carry out Risk Analysis and plan corrective actions as and when required
• nsure good working conditions and safety standards are maintained
• Ensure HIRAC / SOP's are followed & implemented & documents for all operational activities are completed - Routine & Non-routine
• Complete the permit to work documents system and any other safety system are strictly adhered to.
• Ensure availability of necessary work permits (PTW) as per the prescribed system
• Compliance to the requirements of OSHA, ISO, etc.
• Assess risks, carry out Risk Analysis and plan corrective actions as and when required
• Take responsibility for self and co-workers to strictly adhere to the policies, procedures and instructions set for the organization
• If authorized carry out plant isolations and permitting as per procedures
• Responsible for ensuring good housekeeping and ensuring that on completion of work the work area is returned in a high standard of cleanliness and all safety

Operation
• Installation of the following equipment: transformers, MV/LV switchboards, generators, motors, starters, VSD, UPS, capacitors, batteries, etc.
• Perform troubleshooting and repair of electrical equipment and allied electrical devices that may arise during the day or shift
• Prepare incident report for any electrical stoppage
• Perform maintenance work on motor, switchgear, transformer, breaker, switches to ensure reliability of electrical equipment
• Conduct periodic inspection on running electrical equipment and measure the data needed to determine any abnormalities on equipment
• Enter in CMMS the technical information regarding inspection, basic maintenance, and repair activities.
• Take appropriate actions when necessary; repair or replace according to the state of art.
• Build job plans for inspection and electrical activities.
• Perform calibrations on equipment as per calibration plan.
• Perform repair, servicing or replacement of electrical components
• Perform checks of LUX and replacement of defective lighting
• Participate in Route Cause Analysis of plant failure or issues
• Prepare Work Request uses the CMMS
• Update the history file of equipment after any accomplished job
• Coordinate with other department in order to facilitate the repair job
• Perform other related job from time to time if assigned to do so

Improvement
• Safety: update safety documents according to modifications.
• Update the electrical documentation (drawings, procedures and technical specifications).
• Propose improvement on electrical equipment and perform tests in order to comply with requirements and specifications.

Performance Criteria
• Evolution of the Equipment Failure rate.
• Evolution of the number of stoppages due to instrumentation incidents.
• Compliance with calibration periodicity.
• The number of job plans completed

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:
• Electrical Diploma
• Min. Experience 5 years
• Knowledge of plant auxiliary & main equipment
• Safety systems and procedures & Maximo.
• Thorough knowledge of general electrical maintenance activities including, HV, LV, Motors control circuits automation instrumentation etc.
• Knowledge of safety requirements and safety procedures
• Knowledge and experience of maintenance methods, tools and systems
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read and understand all electrical and process control drawings

Interpersonal & Management Skills:
• Ability to work well within a small team
• Self-Motivated, Excellent communication skills
