Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Main Purpose of the Job:
The primary function of the QA/QC Engineer is to ensure the quality of the project, from the beginning of the project to its completion.

Key Responsibilities/Duties:

* Assists the Client and the Contractor to establish a Quality system around the work practices for the design and build project
* Monitors the implementation of the approved Quality Control Plans during construction
* Review the Contractor's method statements for all activities to be completed throughout the project
* Conduct daily inspections to ensure all work done is in line with the drawings, approved material, method statement and quality procedures
* Review and continually monitor all documentation to ensure it is in line with quality standards
* Act as the Consultant and Client's custodian of all QA/QC documentations throughout the project's life cycle including certifications, inspections requests and the like
* Implement weekly quality assurance/quality control meetings discussion on quality and progress
* Prepare QA/QC reports to include activities performed over a period of time and highlight critical issues
* Monitor an efficient system for all project activities and process to ensure all work completed is in line with quality requirements
* Agree and administer weekly inspection schedule and testing schedule with Contractor

Requirements

* 20 years experience in major construction projects, preferably transport
* Hold an Engineering Degree or higher qualification
* Has worked for a considerable time in the Middle-East
* Can demonstrate a proven ability of working in a similar environment with successful outcomes
* Has ability to develop, monitor, audit and maintain QA/QC for major construction project.
* Able to monitor and track audit contract compliance
