Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client, a Kuwait diversified business is looking to recruit a Finance Director

The Role:
- Working and reporting directly to the General Manager on all strategic matters as they relate to all financial and commercial activities
- Financial Director will partner each business verticals in ensuring that profitability targets are achieved and operations effectively managed
- You will provide strong commercial & financial advice on margins, Opex and Capex management and other operational issues as well as ensuring that business managers and senior management team are appropriately communicated with on actual & forecast performance

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervises all accounting and Financial functions
- Lead and oversee the establishment & running of financial/accounting systems, inclusive of policies, procedures and practices in line with local government and IFRS
- Develop objective-based system & process enhancements to enable more effective day-to-day management of business profitability.
- Develop reports and management tools to support Sale in their daily activities and developing each operation in a profitable manner
- Ensure that the profits of the organisation are protected through the establishment of effective budgetary controls and expenditure procedures
- Contribute to the formulation of medium to long-term operational forecasts and leading the Company's annual budgeting process
- Preparation and management of Monthly financial reporting & forecasting for the operational aspects of the business and provide clear explanations for identified variances between budget and forecast, including management of operations risks & opportunities
- Anticipate negative or positive impacts on business targets and proactively suggest solutions, prepares action plan and implement them in coordination with Business Manager
- Review and approve pricing, promotions, and Customer contracts
- Monitor & control the banking activities, Opex and Capex of the organisation
- Supervises preparation and reporting of Cash Flows
- Develop and maintain systems of internal controls to safeguard assets

Requirements

- Qualified candidates should enjoy a manufacturing environment, be a strong financial leader with a solid business acumen, and have:
- Bachelor Degree in Finance or Accounting with fifteen years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position, and a CPA
- Exposure to advanced manufacturing, costing methodologies, and heavy inventory experience are essential
- Experience in strategic planning and execution, contracting, negotiating, and change management
- Strong experience as Commercial controller in businesses with inventory and brands
- Highly developed analytical and financial skills to help sustain and grow the business
- Strong leadership and management skills including the ability to coach/motivate others
- Exceptional communication skills in both written and oral form
- Team player
- Oracle, MS Suite, Excel, Power Point
