General Manager

Job description / Role

The General Manager will lead the overall operations of the company’s MEP contracting business in Kuwait, with full responsibility for strategy, business development, financial performance, and project delivery. The role requires driving growth, ensuring quality and timely execution of projects, managing client relationships, and leading a high-performing team while maintaining compliance with local regulations and corporate standards; as per the following detailed description:

• Strategic Leadership – Develop and implement business strategies aligned with corporate objectives to expand the company’s MEP footprint in Kuwait.
• Business Development – Build and maintain client relationships, identify new opportunities, and secure contracts to achieve growth targets.
• Operational Excellence – Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of MEP projects ensuring quality, cost efficiency, and timely completion.
• Financial Management – Take full P&L responsibility; monitor budgets, cash flow, and cost controls to ensure profitability.
• Team Leadership – Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing teams; foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Client & Stakeholder Management – Act as the company’s senior representative with clients, government authorities, and industry bodies.
• Compliance & Safety – Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Reporting & Governance – Provide regular reports to the Board/CEO on company performance, market conditions, and risks.

• Education: Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Experience: 20+ years in MEP contracting/services with at least 5 years in a senior management role. Proven track record in delivering large-scale MEP projects in Kuwait/GCC.
• Leadership: Strong people management, team development, and organizational leadership capabilities.
• Business Acumen: Solid understanding of P&L management, budgeting, and cost control.
• Market Knowledge: Familiar with Kuwait’s regulatory environment, client base, and industry trends.
• Key Skills: Strategic planning, business development, client relationship management, negotiation, and operational excellence.
