POSITION SUMMARY

The Government Relations Officer manages all official and legal registration of the company and all its employees, whilst keeping abreast with all the government rules and legislations, and acts as a direct link between the government offices and the company.

A DAY IN THE LIFE ...

- To maintain a thorough knowledge on the Local Labor Law, ensuring understanding on current information of the country's regulations, and delivering it to all the employees across the OPC through monthly knowledge-transfer.
- To act as a liaison officer to all the government bodies and ministry offices, whilst establishing strong relations with stakeholders, and collaborating and communicating successfully with other entities outside of the business.
- To monitor, coordinate and communicate updates on current legal cases, acting as a liaison officer between MANCOM and the Company Attorney, and all relevant stakeholders.
- To manage the processing of all pertinent documents in reference to the criteria of immigration office, ministry of social affairs, ministry of foreign affairs in compliance with the laws and regulations.
- To manage the preparation and processing of applications related to work permits, employee visas etc. in social affairs office as well as prepare on-line applications of immigration in compliance with Kuwait laws and regulations.
- To ensure all employee files and digital files are complete and up-to date with the official documents for each employee: Residency Copies, Passport Copies, Civil ID, Work permits, Health Card
- To ensure on time and proper renewal of all business licenses prior to expiry, and to communicate to the stakeholders for any updates.
- To support the employees in obtaining or completing all necessary formalities with the embassies and local authorities.
- To ensure preparation, collection and submission of all necessary documents as required by the government for the cancellation of visas/work permits, etc as necessary.
- Ensure strict adherence and compliance on all activities undertaken, including those taking place on trade, to the WHO International Code of Marketing of Breast-Milk substitutes and Nestlé Instructions and local country codes. Ensure as well compliance with Nestlé's strictest requirements that Nestlé marketing and sales personnel will not seek contact with, or give advice to pregnant women, or mothers of infants and young children regarding Infant Formula in their business capacity.

- Must have experience in a similar role for minimum 2-3 years.
