Job description / Role
Charterhouse is working with a leading retail operator who is looking to hire a Head of Finance for their domestic and regional coverage. With a reporting to the General Manager, this role shall take ownership for all areas of financial reporting, accounting and internal controllership whilst overseeing areas of financial forecasting and cash management processes ensuring liquidity planning and the implementation of adequate financing and treasury related controllership across the operation.
The role shall be heavily geared towards the development and introduction of all financial and operational strategies to allow for strong planning and financing activities. This coverage will also extend to areas of corporate finance and investment analysis to assess inorganic growth opportunity across the industry sector whilst overseeing all the risk management parameters.
Requirements
The successful candidate should be a Degree qualified and Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CPA), who can demonstrate both core accounting skills coupled with the ability to develop solid controls and reporting tools within a finance arena that needs to support and add-value to the strategic planning and investor relations dynamic. The client will look for a candidate whom has worked within multinational environments where governance is monitored by both strong external audit policy and regulatory authorities. Candidates shall also be expected to demonstrate a regional understanding of the retail sector to leverage off existing networks and insight.
