Job description:
Designing and implementing art curriculum, teaching various art techniques, fostering creativity and critical thinking, and integrating art history and appreciation into lessons.
Assess student progress, manage the classroom, and potentially organize art exhibitions or school events.
Creating and adapting art curricula that align with educational standards and cater to diverse student needs and skill levels.
Teaching a range of artistic mediums, including drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, and digital art, while also introducing art history and theory.
Encouraging students to explore their own artistic ideas, develop their unique styles, and think critically about art.
Evaluating student work, providing constructive criticism, and tracking their progress to support their artistic growth.
Maintaining a positive and organized learning environment, managing materials, and ensuring student safety.
Working with other teachers, parents, and school administrators to integrate art into the broader curriculum and support student learning.
Potentially organizing art exhibitions, field trips, or other events to showcase student work and engage the wider school community.
Staying up-to-date on current trends in art education and teaching practices.
