SNC-Lavalin is looking for a Lead Commissioning Engineer, Utilities to join an ongoing Refinery project in Al Zour, Kuwait.

Responsibilities

- Provide specialist knowledge and advice relating to commissioning & startup
- Oversight of processes and working to maintain optimization of the process
- Continual evaluation of equipment and processes to ensure both efficiency and quality
- Partake in client and subcontractor meetings
- Verification of check sheets & verification of completed work.
- Lead and participate in HSSE Safety Leadership walk downs / workshops
- Lead and participate in Flawless Delivery Leadership walk downs / workshops
- Always demonstrate personal HSSE leadership and excellent HSE behavior and ensure that safety expectations are communicated and maintained
- Attend and execute the Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) when required
- Ensure all packages have clear defined preservation requirements identified and applied.
- Responding to engineering site queries where clarification of design is required and liaise with engineering contractor where a response to TQ's as required.
- Ensuring that commissioning procedures and paperwork is completed to enable a smooth hand over of systems to Operations.

Requirements

Requirements

- Engineering Degree in Chemical Engineering
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in operating and Commissioning of Refinery / Petrochemicals.
- At least 8 years’ experience in a similar position leading and managing Operations Readiness project execution.
- Specific experience relevant to the project (I.e. Tankage, Interconnecting, jetty, Marine loading).
- Strong people management and interpersonal skills.
- Good written, verbal communication and presentation skills in English.
- Proven experience for renowned clients in region.
