Job description / Role
The Logistics Assistant will be responsible for arranging for the safe, efficient and cost effective transportation of goods to Kuwait from around the world whilst tracking each shipment and liaising with finance and purchasing teams to ensure consistent visibility. The candidate will also be involved in local transportation from and to the port and deal effectively with the relevant bodies to ensure smooth clearance of all shipments.
Requirements
The successful applicant will be educated to degree level, preferably able to communicate in both Arabic and English, have experience in arranging and tracking shipments from global sources. They must be familiar with the requirements of the regulating bodies at the ports of entry to Kuwait as well as the various shipping terms and conditions. The successful candidate will be highly motivated and well organised with effective communication skills.
