Job description / Role
Purpose
Performs operational readiness mission and resource management in support of Army Preposition Stock (APS). Manages fleet readiness of up to a brigade quantity maintaining ready for issue (RFI) standards in accordance with Army regulations. Interpreting modernized table of equipment (MToE) and modernized configuration of equipment (MCoE) to meet APS standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Reports directly to the MRC Chief, provides analysis based logistical standardization to prepositioned fleet management oversight and analysis based logistical standardization to contractual requirements.
- Responsible for ensuring all logistical oversight of up to a brigade level.
- May be required to work independently or with a team.
- May be required to maintain responsive interface directly with USG customer to ensure mission requirements and expectations are met.
- Required to conduct direct counseling and appraisals of personnel periodically to ensure required qualifications are retained.
- Handles multiple operations simultaneously and provides updated status on cost, schedule and mission performance.
- Manages prepositioned stock fleet in accordance with Army regulations and contractual requirements.
- Ensure specific mission/project benchmark goals are identified and attained.
- Responsible for planning, coordinating with and briefing up to BN level command and staff.
- Partner in the development of concept of support/course of action briefs, APS-5 set annual issue exercise requirements and issue plans in accordance with contract requirements.
- Track and analyze taskers, operational activities and department metrics.
- Plan and coordinate multiple mission requirements including APS set R1 and S1 readiness levels.
- Assist with the sustainment program through operational analysis, planning, maintenance and readiness reporting.
- Serve as the liaison between all functional departments to achieve a cohesive end result.
- Disseminate mission guidance for all operations/taskers.
- Developed and implemented strategic initiatives to continually improve the overall quality of the maintenance program.
- Develop, manage, monitor, action and produce operational concepts of support in support of mission or unit issues.
- Coordinated oversight of readiness control analysis to sustain direct communication with all supporting material readiness center and logistics operation center sections to achieve benchmark goals.
- Analyze historical data, monitoring performance benchmarks and developing performance continuous improvement programs in the functional area.
- Identifying ONS, taskers, prioritizing, assigning responsibility, resourcing, managing and monitoring their implementation of processes based on PWS requirements.
- Developing and publishing weekly operational readiness reports utilizing required Army regulations and PWS requirements.
- Implemented and improved the current processes and procedures to include new tracking methodologies.
- Responsible for monitoring all MToE, MCoE and WRSI stocks and configurations being actioned by the functional areas in accordance with PWS and ARs.
- Conduct research from data entered into AWRDS to ensure all discrepancies are properly identified and corrected.
- Evaluated MWOs, SOUMS, GPAs for accuracy and discrepancies and ensured outstanding messages are corrected with the appropriate recommended actions.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.
Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, business administration or management or equivalent highly preferred. Four additional years of experience over minimum required can be substituted for degree.
Experience
- 8 years of related civilian or military experience required.
- 5 years supervisory experience required.
- U.S. Army logistics MOS preferred.
Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Must have the ability to interpret and implement local policies.
- Must have an intermediate level of proficiency in the use of MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project and Outlook.
- Must have progressive written and oral communications skills.
- Must have strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work and communicate with others effectively.
- Possess the capability to use appropriate logistics STAMIS systems such as GCSS-Army, LMP and LIW.
Certification, License & Clearance
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Tier 3 Secret clearance is required.
Work Environment, Physical Demands & Mental Demands
- Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively.
- Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
- Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
