We are now seeking an exceptional MEP Director to join our award winning team based within our Kuwait Office.

This critical role will be responsible for the day to day management and operation of the MEP teams in the Kuwait office.

Paramount to success within this varied role will include:

• Creating and developing design concepts and formulating design presentation strategies within specific discipline.
• Developing and leading the implementation of new approaches to design process, technology, and strategy within the team.
• Assisting with the recruitment and selection process for discipline-specific technical staff.
• Monitoring the technical and professional competencies of staff within discipline, and recommending course of action, in partnership with Team Leaders, to enhance individual and group capability.
• Providing mentoring and coaching to technical discipline staff in partnership with the Team Leader of each team.
• Initiating and maintaining research on the local markets relating to discipline-specific preferred products, vendors, contractors, and trends.
• Participating in marketing and business development initiatives, as requested, including the coordination of technical and financial inputs.
• Ensuring implementation of project-specific quality assurance and control procedures, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 to achieve technical excellence in all discipline-specific deliverables.
• Participating in scheduled and ad hoc reviews of the technical performance of teams and individual staff in the normal course of project delivery.
• Providing leadership in the exchange of discipline-specific knowledge relating to current international best practice, and the identification and adoption of new technology and trends.
• Liaising with the respective Team Leader to ensure adequate administrative support, technical resources and information, document and file management systems for the specific discipline within the team.
• Providing regular reports to the specific Design Leader on the operations and growth of technical discipline.
• Collaborating with team members and colleagues to promote an inter-disciplinary design approach and philosophy.

Requirements

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that you will bring a minimum of 20 years of relevant professional experience, including the coordination of a range of various design projects partnered with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Registration with International institution (P.E or P.ENG or similar) is desirable.

Membership with International institution like ASHRAE, IEEE or CIBSE, or PMP certification would be an advantage.
