Principal Mechanical Engineer (Building Services)

Job description / Role

This is a very unique opportunity, for a Principal/Associate Mechanical Building Services Engineer (HVAC bias), to be based in Kuwait and act as the Principal Mechanical Engineer and bridge between the South African and Kuwaiti design offices who work as a unified team. As the companies Principal Mechanical Engineer in Kuwait, You will be travelling to and from each office every 6-8 weeks, therefore to be considered for this role, you absolutely must have very strong ties in South Africa.

This is a long term career opportunity for a Principal Mechanical Building Services Engineer, with a lot of scope for development for the right candidate, with one of the Middle East's leading multidisciplinary consultancies, that have been a leader in their field for over 50 years. They have an envious portfolio of work and a full order book of major projects across the Middle East region.

Salary for this position will be in the region 3000-3250 KD per month + paid travel every 6-8 weeks to SA & the MENA region + 30 days paid leave, medical insurance, laptop, mobile phone etc.

Requirements

* The role requires a candidate with a proven background (10-15 years) within the design of mechanical building services systems, from a HVAC bias and be very strong technically.
* Experience with leading consultancy practices is absolutely essential, as is major projects experience.
* You will also ideally have gained experience in the Middle East and have an understanding of the local/international codes, standards and regulations.
* Strong ties in Cape Town/South Africa are desireable for this role, due to the nature of this positon.
* Strong management, technical leadership, communication and client interaction/management skills are crucial for this role.
