Main Purpose of the Job:
Our transportation division is looking to recruit an experienced Project Manager to deliver a large-scale highway project in Kuwait. This role will be required to have proven experience in reviewing design as well as construction supervision.

Key Responsibilities/Duties:
* Lead and manage the delivery of a major highways rehabilitation project as the main point of contact
* Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary teams including highway, civil, structural and geo-technical, ensuring the designs are delivered to the required quality within budget and to the programme
* Manage project priorities through day to day liaison with the contracting client's design management team
* Be responsible for managing the project controls team and ensuring all commercial aspects are tightly controlled to budget and programme
* Liaise with clients, respond to queries and attend design and progress meetings
* Represent the design team at various internal and external meetings with the client and stakeholders
* Establish working relationships with the contractor and the client organisations, including stakeholders in coordinating the project interfaces-Instigate and manage change control procedures

Requirements

* Minimum 15 years' professional experience (post qualification) working on significant transportation projects with the majority have been working on highways projects
* Degree qualified to a minimum of a Bachelors in a relevant engineering discipline; holding a Masters will have an added advantage
* Preferable for candidates to be Chartered with a relevant professional engineering institution
* Experience of leading multi-disciplinary teams for significant value projects
* Proven experience of managing remote teams
* Extensive people management skills including development and mentoring
* Track record in a consultancy with extensive exposure to client facing work
* Personable, approachable and with excellent presentation and communication skills
* Experience of working in the GCC region with international consultants is preferred
