Job description / Role
• The candidate will be responsible to initiate, compile budgets and forecasts in conjunction with Project Management.
• Prepare measurements and monthly applications; compile monthly cost reports based on Project performance, and to carry out subcontract payments and administration.
• Measurement of all drawings, related works and agreement with the client’s representative.
• Preparation of monthly subcontract payment certificates in conjunction with the Project Quantity Surveyor.
• Compile monthly payment applications, monitor payments and chase cash.
• Ensure that measurement, variations and final accounts are properly managed
• Participate in meeting with subcontractors, Consultants or Clients as and when required to ensure that the Company\'s interest areas are protected.
• Initiate the Financial / Cost reporting in conjunction with the Project Manager and monitor targets as set out in the forecasts.
• Ensure effective implementation of the commercial procedures on projects as per the company Integrated Management System in order for it to achieve its ISO requirements.
Requirements
• Diploma in Engineering or Quantity Surveying
• Minimum 5 years experience in the field, 3 years in a similar position
• Adequate knowledge in Quantity Surveying and Cost/Financial Reporting
• Computer literate with good knowledge MS Office, Excel, Word, etc. Knowledge of other quantity surveying software packages would be ideal.
• Experience with Civil Infrastructure Projects on sewage treatment plants, water treatment plants, drainage etc.
