Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Role:

* Responsible for identification and consolidation of data required to ensure a timely understanding of current business performance and more importantly the drivers behind - positive and negative.
* Build a clear understanding of market and consumer trends which are likely to impact the Alshaya Food business, ensure that this is updated and evolved on a timely basis.
* Information will be a mixture of qualitative and quantitative and involve a significant amount of collaboration with other Alshaya departments notably; Brands, CMD, Finance, Properties and Business Development.
* Critically the position holder will be adept at using the data and information to spot trends, identify root causes, generate insights and develop proposals that effectively inform and guide senior leadership decision making.
* They will be adept at preparing business presentations and comfortable to present their ideas to the Senior Food Leadership, and potentially the Alshaya Senior Leadership Team in a compelling manner.

Key Skills & Competencies Required to Succeed

* As this position has no direct reports a high level of relationship management, interpersonal and influencing skills are required.
* Inquisitive by nature, why does this work like this, and confident enough to challenge the status quo.
* Structures & Analytical approach to problem solving - ability turn convert data to insights
* Numerate with a high excel & PPT proficiency.
* Articulate and with the ability to facilitate discussions
* Good understanding of market research methodology would be beneficial

Requirements

Previous Experience

* Operational, or associated experience within the Food Industry would be beneficial
* Held positions in a complex multi brand, operational environment
* If internal, must be at Career Level E or above.
