About the company:

Quest Search and Selection is working with a growing retailer in Kuwait who are currently looking for a strong ladieswear buyer. Your main role is to obtain the highest quality of goods at the lowest cost and to build good relationships with the suppliers

Job Description:

The responsibilities of the senior buyer within this retailer will include:

* To plan and develop the seasonal range of products within the assigned category based on the latest trends and market environment
* Ensure the sales objectives and operational costs are in line with agreed business plan for the category
* Maintain good professional relationships with the existing suppliers
* Meeting the appropriate suppliers and vendors
* Attend trade fairs to select a new collection of products
* Source new merchandise and review existing ones
* Develop and implement creative strategies to maximize sales growth

Requirements

Requirements for an Ideal Candidate:

* 4+ years of experience as a buyer
* A specialist in women's fashion buying for own brands
* Have global sourcing experience
* Ability to negotiate and implement buying strategies
* Excellent communication skills
* Strong written and negotiation skills
* Familiarity with market research, data analysis, and forecasting techniques
