Job description / Role
We are currently looking for a Senior Design Manager to join our client in Kuwait. Our client is a leading International Engineering Consultant. Candidate must worked on large healthcare/ hospital projects in the GCC.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• The senior design manager supervises and executes the design of two new large healthcare projects in Kuwait
• Responsible for ensuring that the work is completed on time, within budget and to the quality specified, making assignments that achieve budget objectives for the design and implementation of projects.
• · The senior design manager manages the preparation of project plans, construction and bid documents, and cost estimates, coordinates with other staff as necessary.
• Ensuring that the design meets the relevant standards and is delivered in accordance with best market practices.
• Ensuring that the design is properly coordinated.
• Ensuring that the design is available in accordance with the project time-line.
• Ensuring that all drawings are prepared in strict compliance with the standards set.
• Initiating and maintaining all necessary document logs for drawings, specifications, technical reviews and all other similar documents.
• Conducting constructability and bid ability reviews on all design bid documents.
• Coordinating with the construction manager throughout the whole tendering process.
• Working along with the construction manager as required to resolve issues related to design and coordination across projects.
Requirements
• Degree in Architecture.
• Must possess 20 years of total experience and 10 years in healthcare projects mainly in GCC countries
• Provide some examples of work/portfolio.
• Expertise in information architecture and user-centric design principle
