Senior IT Transition Manager - IT - Kuwait

Role Overview:

A Senior Transition Manager is responsible for establishing a strong consistent governance, ensuring that the support teams have engagement and visibility of deliverables by the Project / vendor teams, resulting in a smooth transitioning into business-as-usual operations

Key Responsibilities:

Transition Governance

- Attend Stage Gate meetings
- Agree scope of Transition for a project
- Provide updates on Transition progress to IT Transition Forum, Project Leadership and PMO
- Facilitate sign off of IT Transition Gates with IT Transition Forum, Project Leadership and PMO

Run Start-up (Discovery and Due Diligence) Phase

- Discovery (e.g. check all the facts SOWs / contracts)
- Manage Project Governance
- Agree in-scope streams (e.g. Service Delivery Definition / Staffing / Knowledge Transfer)
- Establish Project Team / Expertise
- Produce Service Transition Plan and agree on RACI
- Undertake Gap Analysis (e.g. skills / processes / tools)
- Define Service Support (e.g. PGLS SLAs / Understand Vendors)

Run Transition Delivery Phase

- Define Service Delivery Model (Services and Methods / Service Levels)
- Support staffing activities (Technical Training / Smart Sourcing / Recruitment)
- Facilitate the creation and implementation of a Knowledge Sharing Plan (KT Scope / Plan)
- Update and implement changes to ITIL processes / Operational SOPs
- Facilitate the development and implementation of tooling to support Monitoring and Service Desk activities
- Ensure Service and Project take-on is managed (Hypercare Exit Criteria / Service Testing and Cutover)

Run Handover (to ongoing delivery) and Close Down Phase

- Ensure Service Readiness
- Support OAT
- Ensure project delivers required support documentation
- Execute service transition plan
- Agree Transition Gate criteria with IT Transition Forum and Project Leadership
- Facilitate handover to Service Delivery Manager (SDM)
- Transition Close Down
- Handover risks and issues to SDM and Operations Team
- Conduct Lessons Learne

Requirements

Experience Required:

- Candidate must have 3 - 5 years experience as a Manager in a related role
- ITIL hands-on knowledge, software development life cycle knowledge,
- project management and operations delivery experience recommended,
- effective leadership and analytical skills,
- Advanced written & verbal communication; presentation & facilitation skills required, senior stakeholder management

Competencies Required:

- Excellent communication skills
- Proven ability of dealing and managing with senior stakeholders
- Understanding of incident management tools and ITIL processes
- Understanding of Support Models
- Understanding of SOWs / contracts
- Exhibited proven ability to deliver
