Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Role Profile:

Overall accountability for ensuring effective negotiation, risk limitation and maintenance of commercial contracts throughout the contract life cycle
Lead the contract development, review and final sign process with internal and external stakeholders i.e. Procurement Activity Owner (PAO), Legal and Vendor to ensure that contracts follow Local laws, rules and regulations and organizational audit policies and oversee maintenance and compliance with existing contracts
Key responsibility for maintaining reporting tools such as but not limited to SLAs, Performance Reports & Surveys, Projects Trackers, Spend & Savings Reports, Vendors Approved List & RACI Matrix. Additionally, responsibility for new Vendors Registration, Policy Review & Recommendations and Oracle fusion Procurement (OFP) implementation, adoption, and training (Users & Vendors)

The below Key Performance Areas include but are not limited to:

- Develop and implement contract strategies according to Alshaya's goals and objectives
- Ensure effective contract management through reviewing and recommending amendment/addition to best fit and protect Alshaya's interests
- Negotiate contract clauses, SLAs and T&Cs with Vendors and identify/establish long term partnerships
- Liaise with internal stakeholders (PAO & Legal) to ensure smooth implementation and long-term execution of contracts
- Maintain contracts repository and work efficiently towards enhanced tracking (start, end & renewal)
- Conducts regular contract performance and administrative compliance reviews of ongoing contracts with Director - Central Procurement and Head of Procurement
- Support defining/updating core standards, policies, processes, and measures for Central Procurement Department (CPD)
- Maintain historical data to identify consolidation opportunities and support optimizing Alshaya's buying/negotiating scale on ALL Goods Not For Resale (GNFR) spend
- Support the development, implementation, introduction, and adoption of Oracle Fusion Procurement (OFP) including Vendors and Users training
- Maintain performance reports, indicators and measures Vs. set objectives and report to Director - Central Procurement and Head of Procurement
- Meet regularly with internal clients to ensure their needs are being met and taking appropriate remedial action when and where necessary
- Build, lead and maintain an effective and functionally flexible team and provide effective line management to direct reports
- Actively support the development of individuals and the team through appraisal, personal development planning, coaching, and mentoring
- Ensure all activity is delivered in line with Alshaya's Vision & Values
- Contribute to the sharing of best practice within the department, division and across Alshaya
- Work cross functionally with other teams and functions to ensure the efficient implementation of overall procurement projects
- Build and manage professional relationships with external partners
- Adhere to all Company Policies, Procedures and Guidelines

Requirements

Knowledge:

- University graduate with relevant qualification or work experience
- Contract management/procurement/supply chain background
- Advanced MS Office applications (procurement application/software/tools is advantage)
- Good communication in English speaking 7 writing (bilingual is advantage)

Experience:

- 5-7 years in contract management/procurement

- Organizational skills and ability to prioritize work, set targets and make decisions
- Analytical thinking
- Initiative, interpersonal with problem solving skills
- Ability to work accurately and regularly under pressure
