Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Client is looking for an Senior Planner for its urbanization project (South Al Mutla) in Kuwait related to the creation of a 12,000-hectare urban residential development located approximately 40 km of Kuwait City.

He/she will be responsible for:
• To perform advanced professional work related to variety of planning assignments
• To review and process comprehensive plan amendments, annexations, etc.
• To performs field inspections to gather data relevant to the development review process and/or to verify that development projects comply with approved plans
• To evaluates operations and activities of assigned responsibilities
• To prepare reports on operations and activities, recommending improvements and modifications
• To participates in budget preparation and administration, monitors and controls expenditures
• To support Company Cost Control Dept in issuing consistent reports.

Reporting line:
• Hierarchical: Project Director
• Functional:
• JV Planning Manager
• Corporate Cost Control Manager

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience
• Well-developed knowledge of one or more planning disciplines, such as urban design, affordable housing, economic development or land use
• Knowledge and experience in construction processes
• Knowledge of principles, methodology, practices of research and data collection
• Knowledge of effective writing techniques
• Knowledge of computer hardware and software programs, which must include Primavera
• Full command of the English language; Knowledge of Arabic is a desirable
