Emerson's Remote Automation Solutions drive greater profitability, operational efficiency, and safety for Wellpads, Pipelines, Storage Terminals and Distribution Systems worldwide.
Reporting to the Regional Service Manager, we have a vacancy for a Senior RTU/SCADA Engineer to primarily cover Kuwait, but also occasional travel to Oman, Qatar & Saudi Arabia.
You will provide service engineering support for Emerson products and services including maintenance services, diagnostics, installation and commissioning, start-up, problem resolution, and project execution.? Acting as a focal point for customer technical support including service contracts, projects, and technical solutions. You will be our customer's advisor on preventative maintenance and configuration adjustments to improve product performance and ultimately customer satisfaction.
You will also be responsible for coordination of service activities to ensure the delivery of the results expected by the customer.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Performing advanced maintenance tasks as per customer requirements
* Providing recommendations on products or solutions, enhancements and system health checks
* Performing and leading service projects and taking ownership for customer co-ordination
* Providing resolution to complex technical issues and resolving Customer disruptive events
* Providing technical expertise for products and services to support customers and Emerson teams
* Providing on-site, on the job customer instructions in the application, maintenance and operation of Emerson Automation Solutions products
* Proactively identify Service/Product opportunities to assist the sales process
* Proactively promote service, start up and commissioning services and support the sales team as required
* Be available as required to support the on-call rotation
* Recognize and accept HSE Roles & Responsibilities as defined in Emerson's Company Policy and Procedures

* Certification in Instrumentation/Control Engineering
* Sound knowledge of remote automation products (Scada and RTUs).
* In-depth knowledge and experience of automation and control systems in process industries, typically with 6-8 years' experience in related areas.
* Knowledge and experience of Emerson DeltaV System will be advantageous.
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Driver's License required.
* This role is focused on products and services at industrial process plants.
* Travel and work in customer sites is required across Kuwait with some travel to KSA, Oman & Qatar
