Job description / Role
- To exhibit confident leadership qualities and to communicate to workforce the short-term programme objectives of the Project team with ensuring the Quality of work is maintained.
- Ensure preparation of the Shop drawings from the contract drawings and check the same before submission to the client for approval.
- Liaison with the client/ consultant representative for the speedy approval of the shop drawings as instructed by Site Manager.
- Fully responsible to ensure the availability of approved shop drawings as per the BLS ahead of start of any activity.
- Site coordination of the Services with themselves and the remainder of the Works.
- Ensuring safe working procedures are followed in accordance with the Site Work Programme.
- Production and implementation of the necessary method statements for the works to be carried out in their sections.
- Report to the Site Manager regarding the work progress and any discrepancies observed in contract drawings or execution of work following shop drawings.
- Periodically visit the site and ensure the execution as per the approved shop drawing.
- To propose the solutions when the work was not able to continue as per shop drawing due to the site conditions.
- To assist the Site Manager for Implementation of a system of document control for receipt of design information and release of construction drawings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Structural design)
- Must have previous experience of not less than 7 years in the implementation of similar projects with a reputed civil construction Company.
- Adequate knowledge in Project execution with prime importance to Quality, Safety and Environmental requirements.
- Fluency in English and Arabic language.
- Essential hands-on Computer skills are necessary.
