Job description / Role
Our client, world's leading IT vendor has a fantastic job opportunity for a L1 SOC analyst with Qradar experience to be based in Kuwait for a 12 month extendable contract. The candidate must be available immediately or within a month.
Requirements
• The L1 soc analyst must have the following skills:
• Experience with the QRadar SIEM is a must
• Knowledge of network security zones, firewall, IDS
• Performing 1st level triage of incoming alerts into issues or incidents (initial assessing the priority of the event, initial determination of incident to determine risk and damage or appropriate routing of security or privacy data request)
• Responsible with maintaining all Tier 1 documentation
• Provide initial investigation of security incidents
• Advanced analysis of alerts
• Review alerts escalated by end users
• Provide limited incident response to end users for low complexity security incidents
• Provide communication and escalation throughout the incident per the CIRT guidelines
• Perform analysis of log files
• Takes an active part in the containment of incidents, even after they are escalated
