Job summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated special needs teacher to support students with diverse learning needs. The successful candidate will develop and deliver individualized education programs (IEPs), foster an inclusive learning environment, and work collaboratively with staff and parents to ensure each student reaches their full potential.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each studentu2019s specific needs.
  • Adapt and modify lessons and teaching strategies to meet a variety of learning styles and abilities.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to support inclusive practices and integrate students into mainstream classes where appropriate.
  • Use a range of assessment tools to track and report student progress.
  • Provide emotional and behavioral support to students, promoting their well-being and personal development.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance, interventions, and communications with parents.
  • Engage with parents and guardians regularly to provide updates and involve them in the educational process.
  • Work closely with external professionals (e.g., therapists, psychologists) when needed.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to school-wide inclusion initiatives.

Qualifications and experience

  • Bacheloru2019s degree in special education.
  • 0-3 years experience working with students with special educational needs.
  • Experience with a range of learning difficulties, including autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, speech and language delays, and physical or sensory impairments.
