Job description / Role
• Prepare the training budget.
• Proactively build the organization’s capability by developing employee talent (knowledge, skills and behaviors) to deliver current and long term business results.
• Participate in the assessment and development of individual succession plans for identified employees and positions.
• Integrate the company core values in the training programs to support its vision, shape the culture and reflect its identity.
• Conduct an annual 'Training / Development Needs Analysis' (TDNA), based on annual Business Plans together with regular feedback from Performance Management and Succession Planning.
• Use TDNA results and regular discussions with management / other employees to identify priorities and objectives for the annual Training & Development Plan.
• Plan, budget and deliver the annual 'GLA Training and Development Calendar'
• Regularly meet with employees and their Direct Supervisors to know the 'pulse' of the business requirements and consequent training and development needs - current and anticipated.
• Use contemporary methods to cater to adult learning styles and measurement of learning effectiveness.
• Evaluate and recommend knowledge delivery solutions e.g. 'on line' and 'blended' learning opportunities.
• Work with employees and their managers / supervisors to design and deliver 'On -the -Job' development assignments
• Monitor and support the employee's 'Training Action Plans' to ensure and enhance application of learning at work.
• Encourage / actively invite candidate feedback on programs and processes from participants and their supervisors / managers to drive continuous improvement and ensure leaning is enhanced, enjoyable and effective.
Requirements
Education
Graduate, trained as a career 'Training and Development' professional
Professional Experience
Minimum 10 to 12 years as a trainer; designed and delivered training programs
Computer Skills
Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
Language Skills
Bilingual - English and Arabic
