Job description / Role
We are looking for a creative UI/UX designer with up-to-date proficiency in the latest design tools, to communicate and interpret our needs and to design elements with high visual impact. You’ll work on websites, digital ads, mobile app interface elements, corporate identity and the like, and you will work on cross-functional collaboration between marketing, IT and product.
- Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers
- Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps
- Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets
- Build page navigation buttons and search fields
- Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like
- Create original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches and tables)
- Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
- Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
- Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
- Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors and images
Requirements
- 2+ years of prior digital product/UX design experience
- A strong portfolio that demonstrates an understanding of design principals/theories, technical abilities and high-level strategic thinking
- Knowledge of and previous experience in implementing research methodologies to help define and guide product design
- Detail oriented and highly organized
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, without relying on formal processes
- Previous experience working within a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to communicate ideas clearly and welcoming of creative direction and new perspectives
- Excellent time management skills
- Nice to have but not necessary: coding experience
