Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client has signed a 5-year O&M contract to operate a new cement plant in Kuwait, incorporating a full organization to implement a complete maintenance strategy and technical back-up, as well as delivery of spare parts and consumables. The agreement covers a new 150 tph grinding station in Kuwait. The grinding station has been also delivered by our client and consists of a UMS ball mill, a Ventomatic packing plant and material handling equipment. They are currently looking to Electrical Technician Cement Mill Packing in Kuwait.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Safety
• To ensure compliance with all relevant statutory legislation and the internal company Safety Health and Environment Standards.
• Responsible for ensuring all employees in the warehouse adhere to the policies, procedures and instructions set for the organization.
• Assess risks, carryout Risk Assessments for warehouse activities and ensure that personnel from other departments or contractors' have risk assessments for any work to be carried out in the warehouse.
• To maintain high standards of housekeeping in the warehouse.

Main Activities

Warehouse Coordination
• Work closely with the department heads, plant purchasing and finance to ensure efficient operations, budget planning and provision of required information and reports.
• Responsible for monitoring, expediting the reorder and delivery of stores stock items to ensure availability of items to the Plant department
• Ensuring the general supplies availability in the store.
• Work with Plant departments to set the max, min and reorder levels for stock items.
• Provide management information on stock movements, stock outs, slow moving, obsolete and strategic stock items.
• Provide to plant finance and plant management teams weekly updates on store issues by workshop and department, to allow cost monitoring.
• Provide monthly management reports as required and assist finance department with month and year end figures.
• Follow the issuing and receiving processes and procedures.
• Responsible for monitoring, expediting the reorder and delivery of stores stock items to ensure availability of items to the Plant department.
• Ensuring the general supplies availability in the store.

Stock Control
• Implement the P.M. processes for the items (rotate motor shafts; grease the fabricated metal items etc. with assistance from Maintenance Dept.).
• Carry out safety inspections of warehouse storage racking systems and report defects and isolate storage areas if necessary.
• Ensure items are stored in the correct location if a safe manner.
• Carry out inventory stock checks physical count, floor to book and book to floor, submit reports for the inventory and stock. Including variances and cost implications in coordination with Financial Controller.
• Provide reports as required by Purchasing Manager
• Prepare the inventory reports required by Plant Manager, Purchasing Manager & Financial Controller.
• Team Management
• Define the mission & objectives of his staff and conduct PDR sessions
• Development of production staff by developing IDP's, defining skill gaps, and where necessary providing training in activities that support production improvement and coaching.
• Develop success plant for production department & ensure successors for key positions.
• Promote quality of work and motivates his staff.
• Implement daily, weekly, monthly plant operation practices & cross functional coordination.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

• Cert. level engineering, Safety qualification is desirable
• Minimum 5 years' experience in warehouse or spares management.
• Managing shift operations and in the provision of 24x7 warehouse service.
• Planning, budgeting, inventory management and stock control.
• Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning systems.
• Interpersonal & Management Skills
• IT Literate.
• Ability to communicate with people at all levels. Fluent in Arabic/English
• Committed to maintaining and improving Health and Safety.
• Self-motivated with a proven ability to motivate others
• A willingness to embrace change in our drive for continuous improvement.
