Charterhouse are currently undertaking a search, for one of our Middle East client’s, whom are in the process of looking to recruit an Accounting Manager for their production unit and subsidiary. This role is based in Nigeria, on a full-time rotating basis and the client has geared the search towards the recruitment of a Lebanese national looking for an expatriate assignment.
This job will take overall management and operational oversight for all areas of accounting-related functions, whilst also being responsible for, the finalisation and consolidation of financial accounting and reporting requirements under IFRS. This Accounting Manager shall be expected to manage relationships linking to tax filing, external audit and banking & financing activities. In conjunction, this role will also take responsible for cost/expense management, in support of management restructuring and commercial objectives.
Requirements
Our client is looking to hire a qualified and experienced finance professional, with up to 10 years of experience, across a mainstream financial reporting and/or accountancy-based position. Our client will ideally look to recruit a professionally qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CPA) whom can demonstrate very strong exposure, under IFRS and/or IAS, combined with an understanding of manufacturing/production accounting-related nuances and best practice. The successful candidate shall possess at least 5 years of management experience, with a demonstrable track record, of overseeing a team of staff across a fully-fledged and all-encompassing accounting operation.
