About the Role
Mission
To ensure the financial integrity of the organization through accurate recordkeeping, compliance with legal requirements, and the provision of timely financial reports that support strategic decision-making.
Main Activities
- Handle the firm's financial recordkeeping, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and cash management functions.
- Prepare annual statutory financial statements and reconcile corporate and statutory books.
- Prepare tax and social securities declarations and perform reconciliations, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
- Perform routine financial analysis, including monthly close procedures and cash forecasting.
- Review payment vouchers and monthly journal entries to ensure appropriate documentation and compliance.
Dimensions
People Management:
- Supervise and guide a team of accountants to enhance productivity and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Provide training to new team members and ongoing development to existing staff to keep them updated on best practices.
Financial:
- Oversee key financial operations including payments, journal entries, and compliance with internal controls.
- Ensure timely preparation of financial statements and compliance with taxation laws, thereby supporting the organization's financial health.
Other:
- Liaise with employees and suppliers to address any financial issues that may arise.
- Act as the point of contact with tax authorities and auditors to ensure transparency and adherence to regulations.
- Contribute to procedural improvements and implementations that enhance departmental workflows.
About You
Required Skills:
- Fluent in English and Arabic.
- In-depth knowledge of Lebanese and UAE accounting principles, NSSF regulations, and corporate and payroll tax laws.
- Excellent communication skills for effective engagement with various stakeholders.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently.
- Thorough understanding of local tax laws and constraints in Lebanon.
