BIM Lead

Job description / Role

Responsibilities:
• Contribute to the leadership and direction of specific BIM technologies to various project teams
• Plan project BIM deliverables and managing their effective delivery per the project plan and BIM Execution Plan
• Contribute to internal and external project meetings on technical BIM matters
• Prepare BIM project Documents such as BIM Execution Plan, MIPD
• Assist in the setup of BIM workflows during the project lifecycle, setting the requirements for the production and coordination of information
• With support from the project teams, provides leadership and ensures quality deliverables for all BIM aspects of the project
• Assist bid teams in the preparation of bid documents with BIM requirements
• Conduct quality checks on models. Validate model content, including the level of details and controls as defined for each project
• Configure and maintain the project Common Data Environment to enable the effective management of engineering design deliverables
• Manage the federated model, create clash tests and run clashes, and Submit clash detection reports for team leads.
• Support and train authoring software.
• Contributes to the development of processes, procedures, templates, and model content for project delivery use.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture
• Minimum 7 years of professional experience in architectural design and coordination within the engineering industry
• Proven track record in BIM in an architectural production environment
• Extensive knowledge of International Standards, especially BS EN ISO19650
• Proficiency on BIM360
• Experience with leading production
• Proven experience in managing the design coordination process
• Advanced understanding of BIM processes and ability to develop this on new projects
• Solid knowledge of construction methods and current building construction codes
• Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and solve problems when working under pressure
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
